*)egh/gartos: o( e)pixarh/s.
Notes
- For the range of meanings of the (commonplace) glossing adjective here see LSJ s.v.
e)pixarh/s . By contrast, the headworde)gh/gartos is an adjective attested only here and in Hesychius epsilon176, where Latte flags up textual corruption. (The whole entry in Hesychius is:e)gh/gartos. e)pi/xartos: e)pixarh/s ). The correct reading of the present headword is probably Hesychius'e)pi/xartos ("wherein one finds joy": LSJ), which Latte identifies as extracted from the Septuagint (Proverbs 11.3).
