Translation

[genitive] *)hdwni/dos. [There is] a territory so named.¹ Also [sc. attested is] 'Edon(i)ans', name of a people.
Aeschylus [sc. uses the verb aigizein]. And the same [author] in Hedone also calls fawnskins this. See under aigizein.

Ἠδωνίς, Ἠδωνίδος. χώρα οὕτω λεγομένη. καὶ Ἠδωνοί, ὄνομα ἔθνους. Αἰσχύλος. ὁ δ' αὐτὸς ἐν Ἠδωνῇ καὶ τὰς νεβρίδας οὕτως καλεῖ. καὶ ζήτει ἐν τῷ αἰγίζειν.
