*ga/nios.
Notes
- Entry omitted in mss. AFV.
The unglossed headwordga/nios is presumably a Doric form of what would otherwise bega/neos , genitive of the neuter nounga/nos , "gladness, joy, cheer." Its only other extant occurrence is in the scholia to Oppian, Cynegetica 2.195, where it is glossed witheu)fro/sunos . (Oppian himself, however, wrote a quite different word:ga/mios !)
