Translation

[Meaning] of one having curving talons.¹
Also [sc. attested is the phrase] gamyw/nuxa zw=|a ["crooked-taloned creatures"], those birds which have their beak curved below their jaw; such a one is the eagle, the hawk, the kestrel and others which do not drink.²

Γαμψώνυχος· ἐπικαμπεῖς ἔχοντος τοὺς ὄνυχας. καὶ Γαμψώνυχα ζῷα, ὅσα τῶν πτερωτῶν τὴν ἐπιρυγχίδα γεγάμψωκεν ὑπὸ τὴν γένυν, οἷός ἐστιν ἀετὸς, ἱέραξ, κεγχρηῒς ἄλλα τε τὰ μὴ πίνοντα.
