Translation
[Meaning] of the deprived [one], of [the one] left empty. "Lest some ill-wisher snatches [the child] away, like a cub from a lioness [left] empty." For hunters wait for the time when cubs are left alone by their mothers.1

Κενῆς· ἐστερημένης, κεκενωμένης. μή τις ὡς κενῆς σκύμνον λεαίνης δυσμενῶν ἀναρπάσῃ. οἱ γὰρ κυνηγοὶ τηροῦσι τὸν καιρόν, ὁπότε ἔρημοι τῶν μητέρων γένωνται οἱ σκύμνοι.
