Notes
- The headword is nominative plural of the adjective
miga/s . It has the same glossing in the Synagoge, Photius' Lexicon (mu443 Theodoridis), the Lexica Segueriana, Hesychius mu1321 (who adds 'aliens' after 'many'), and a scholion on Gregory of Nazianzus, Orations 21.10 (PG 35,1092d), from where, as Theodoridis notes, it is surely quoted. According to Lampe s.v.,miga/des is used by Christian writers to designate people who are "mixed" in the sense of being in the secular world, non-monastic.
