Notes (2)

  1. See also nu 356, nu 357.
  2. 1The headword phrase, in the neuter plural, has the same glossing in Hesychius (nu546) and Photius (nu 212 Theodoridis). See also Michael Apostolius 12.9 and other paroemiographers; and cf. Pollux 6.26, and the historians Philochorus and Crates. ↩
  3. 2This addendum (for which cf. nu 357) is lacking in ms AFV; in the margin of ms M. ↩
