Translation

['fiftieth'] and 'to collect the fiftieth' and 'fiftieth-collectors'. The fiftieth [is] a tax that people pay, and fiftieth-collectors [are] those who collect this, and 'to collect the fiftieth' [means] to levy the fiftieth. These things are to be found in the [speech] Against Meidias and in the [speech] In response to the special plea of Lakritos of Demosthenes,1 and in [a speech] of Hyperides, On the donations of Eubulus.2
