Same entry in Photius; the earlier one in Hesychius appears to put 'ground' with the headword and to gloss, therefore, with the adjective only.
According to LSJ s.v., the word appears in the manuscripts of Photius with no accent; that could mean that it is a non-Greek borrowing.
