[Meaning] idle, non-functioning. In the Epigrams: "tired from trembling old age [Daphnis the piper] with his non-working hand dedicates this staff [to Pan]."
Ἀεργηλή· ἀργὴ, ἄπρακτος. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι· τρομερῷ γήραϊ κάμνων χειρὸς ἀεργηλᾶς ἀνέθηκε κορύναν.
