- The Greek name for Bardiya, younger son of Cyrus the Great of Persia (kappa 2777, kappa 2778), and thus younger brother of Cambyses. A unsuccessful revolt against Cambyses in 522 BCE was staged either by him or (in Herodotus 3.61-88: web address 1) someone impersonating him.
