- Neuter singular of this adjective, presumably quoted from somewhere. In ps-Zonaras the present gloss is preceded by '[something] hilly'; and Hesychius sigma1333 glosses the feminine plural
somfw/deis with the phrase 'the more/rather spongy of beaches'.
