Translation

Table-bearer [is] a name of a priestly office [sc. in Athens];1 and [it is stated] that both she and the kosmo2 jointly manage everything with the priestess of Athena -- as Lycurgus in the same speech has made clear.

Notes (2)

  1. Lightly abbreviated from Harpokration s.v., which glosses Lycurgus fr. 47 Conomis (from the lost speech On the Priestess) and also cites Istros FGrH 334 F9 on the final point.
  2. 1Also called the trapezo. ↩
  3. 2The other assistant to the priestess of Athena. ↩
