Notes
- The headword, presumably extracted from the quoted phrase given, is the aorist passive participle of
u(gia/zw , masculine nominative singular.
The quotation itself, though not identified by Adler, is a version of Polybius 3.70.5 (pertaining to Scipio (cf. OCD(4) s.v. Cornelius Scipio(1) Publius) at the battle (218 BCE) of the Trebia (now Trebbia, river in northern Italy, Barrington Atlas map 39 grid F3; cf. OCD(4) s.v. Trebia)), which hase)k tou= trau/matos : web address 1.
cf. generally upsilon 26.
