Notes
- Excerpted, according to Adler, from epsilon 1002, where an individual of this name appears as (according to some) the father of the philosopher Empedocles. However, she also cited Diodorus Siculus 14.44.6 for a homonym: a leading citizen of Lokroi Epizephyrioi (in S.Italy) whose daughter Doris married Dionysios I, tyrant of Syracuse (delta 1178).
