Αἰώρα· ἀγχόνη, ὕψωσις, ἔπαρσις. ὡς δ' οὐκ ἐφικνεῖτ', ἀλλ' ἔκαμνε πηδῶσα, οὐδὲν κρεμαστῆς σχοῦσα πλεῖον αἰώρας, παρῆλθεν οὕτω βουκολοῦσα τὴν λύπην.
