Notes
- Yes and no. Homer, Iliad 2.763-4 introduces the horseman Eumelos; as the son of Admetos of Pherai (alpha 492) he is there called Pheretiades. He reappears in 23.376 in the phrase
a(i *fhrhtia/dao podw/kees... i(/ppoi , 'the swift-footed mares of Pheretiades', and the present entry attaches that definite article to the beginning of the name.
