Translation

[Meaning] silliness, frivolousness, lack of sophistication.¹
"Ptolemy urged everyone to applaud, signalling acceptance of his [Hyrcanus'] witticism."²

Εὐτραπελία· μωρολογία, κουφότης, ἀπαιδευσία. ὁ δὲ Πτολεμαῖος πάντας ἐκέλευσεν ἀνακροτῆσαι, τῆς εὐτραπελίας ἀποδεχόμενος αὐτόν.
