Translation
[Meaning] the flower [of that name]. [So called] from discrimination.1 For this reason also the [process] of discrimination is called a lily which withers easily and falls quickly. For this reason also the colocynth is called a lily, and they also call paupers lilies.2 This kolo/kunqa is a Median [= Persian] word.
