Translation
Aristophanes in Clouds [writes]: "and how, o you fool, smelling of the Kronia?"1 That is, being full of antiquity and folly. Either, indeed, because a certain ancient festival was held in honor of Kronos, or because they used to call all ancient and guileless things Kronia. Also [sc. attested is] Kronous, [meaning] dotards.2
