Notes (1)

  1. The headword -- which is in the vocative case, as are the three glosses -- appears at Aristophanes, Lysistrata 983 (web address 1), and much of the material in the entry is found in the scholia thereto. Compare also Lysistrata 1247 (web address 2), with scholia; Photius, Lexicon kappa1236 and kappa1260 Theodoridis; Hesychius kappa4706 (and kappa4705), kappa4710; Photius s.v. skurqa/nia, alongside Hesychius sigma1181, sigma1182 and sigma1183.
  2. 1Attested as such only here and in the Lysistrata 983 scholia. LSJ has the word but glosses it as gibberosus ('hunch-backed'). ↩
