1. Same entry in Photius, Lexicon lambda77 Theodoridis; fuller one in the Lexica Segueriana (Anonymus Antatticista 106.6), adding the crucial fact that the headword comes from Attic Comedy: Araros [alpha 3737] fr. 15 Kock (and K.-A.).
   In a later era this adjective reappears as an occasional synonym for that common adjective of the encomiastic genre used here to define it.
