Notes
- Meaning (when a substantive) a magistrate's attendant: see Lewis and Short s.v. Especially common in the works of Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus.
As usual with words of this kind, the Latin suffix -lis becomes -lios in Greek.
Same entry, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon, and cf. the fragmentary Hesychius omicron1963.
