Translation
Meaning I am desirous. Aristophanes [writes]: "by Zeus I am eager and a single speech has mixed itself up in me, [one] which he does not prevent me from kneading." [The term comes] from barley meal. For along with mixing, they then used to divide [it] into portions. So [the speech] 'has mixed itself up' meaning has exercised itself in advance, prepared itself beforehand, made itself ready. The metaphor [comes] from those kneading wheat flour, then making cakes.
