Notes (4)

  1. 1Likewise or similarly in other lexica (references at Photius omicron520 Theodoridis), and cf. also the scholia to Aristophanes, Lysistrata 229 [below]. ↩
  2. 2This and what follows comes from the scholia to Aristophanes, Clouds 173 (where the genitive of o)rofh/ occurs). ↩
  3. 3Aristophanes, Lysistrata 229, repeated 230 (but read tw\ (dual) instead of the Suda's ta\: web address 1). This is part of the oath by which the women swear to sexual passivity; cf. under kappa 2666. ↩
  4. 4Aristophanes, Wasps 1215 (web address 2). ↩
