Notes (4)
- The headword and the two initial glosses are adjectives in the neuter nominative or accusative plural. The same form appears in the first quotation but the rest of the entry presents other forms.
- 1= Hesychius phi914, Synagoge phi206; cf. Etymologicum Magnum 801.6. Perhaps from commentary to Aristophanes, Frogs 94 or Euripides Andromache 1219, where the headword occurs in this form (cf. scholia to these passages). ↩
- 2Quotation unidentifiable. ↩
- 3Sophocles, Ajax 263-4, using the genitive single neuter form of the adjective. ↩
- 4An abridgment of Harpokration s.v. [phi28 Keaney], on an occurrence of the word in Antiphon's speech On the murder of Herodes (5.29). See also phi 738 and Etymologicum Magnum 801.6. ↩
