Notes

  1. = Photius pi1372 Theodoridis; and cf. a scholion on prostrepome/nou in Plato, Laws 9.866B. Outside lexica and grammars, the headword (present middle infinitive of prostre/pw; cf. pi 2823) is attested only at Plutarch, On Isis and Osiris 372D.
The relevance of the first gloss probably comes from the ability of the headword to be used in the context of supplicating the gods to avert evil.
