Translation
[Meaning] fingernails. Aristophanes [writes]: "for if anyone said 'violet-crowned [Athenians]', you immediately sat up on the tips of your buttocklets". Meaning on the tips of your fingernails. For those who are listening to something with pleasure seem to be sitting up on their buttocks.
