Translation
Meaning away from this. Also [sc. attested is] para\ tou=ton ["to this"], meaning pro\s tou=ton ["toward this"]. So Arrian [sc. uses these prepositions] everywhere.1
Greek original · Adler’s text
Παρὰ τούτου· ἀντὶ τοῦ ἀπὸ τούτου. καὶ παρὰ τοῦτον, ἀντὶ τοῦ πρὸς τοῦτον. οὕτως πανταχοῦ Ἀρριανός.

Notes (1)
- The entry illustrates two usages of the preposition
para/ for indicating motion from or toward (the side of) something, with the genitive and accusative cases, respectively; cf. Smyth 1692. - 1Oddly, this statement is listed by Roos (p. 289) as an actual fragment of Arrian: Fragmenta incerta 22. The lemma is identically glossed in the Synagoge, Photius' Lexicon (pi320 Theodoridis) and Lexica Segueriana 331.3-4. ↩
