Notes (2)
- = Synagoge sigma222; Photius, Lexicon sigma547 Theodoridis. From commentary to Homer, Iliad 12.259, where the headword occurs in this form (accusative plural) in reference to pillars that support the structure of defensive towers; cf. scholia ad loc., and Hesychius sigma1812. For related words see sigma 1084 through sigma 1087.
- 2Sophocles, Electra 720 (where the headword appears in the accusative singular), with comments from the scholia thereto. The same passage is also quoted at sigma 1664. For the initial gloss cf. Hesychius sigma1812, Etymologicum Gudianum 511, and kappa 2744. ↩
- 3Derived from Theodoret, Commentary on the Psalms PG 80.957, interpreting the title of Psalm 15 LXX (
*sthlografi/a tou= *daui/d ). ↩
