Notes
- Likewise in the Synagoge (sigma281) and Photius' Lexicon (sigma666 Theodoridis). The headword -- third person singular, present indicative active, of
sugxe/w -- is presumably quoted from somewhere (there are numerous possibilities), but note alteady Hesychius sigma2198 s.v.su/gxei (imperative, differently accented); his glossing istara/ttei kai\ ta/rasse , i.e. a third person singular and an imperative. The imperative occurs at Homer, Iliad 9.612, with a negative andqumo/n as the object ("do not trouble my mind"); at Iliad 13.808su/gxei is an unaugmented imperfect, again withqumo/n as its object.
