Translation

[Meaning] anything/everything that is dead. The [body] of a living being is called de/mas ['bodily frame'], because of the fact that it is tied (sun-dede/sqai) to the soul, as Homer said. 1
[Note] that everything which acts upon is a body; and voice, when coming to the listeners from those who emit it, acts [upon the hearers]; therefore, [voice] is a body.2
Interpretation of a dream: to purify the whole body indicates a deliverance from cares.3
