- In two of the paroemiographers: Zenobius 6.14, where it is ascribed to the Locrian Ajax of Aeschylus, and (imperfectly) Chrysocephalus 8.37. Despite Zenobius' attribution, it has been tentatively claimed as a fragment of Sophocles (fr. 15 Radt).
