Translation

[Meaning] without sweat.¹
"For he [sc. the Avar khan] did not subdue these townships effortlessly and carelessly."²
And elsewhere: "the soldiers of Cyrus were not ordered to breakfast without [having had] a sweat, so as to eat pleasantly and to be healthy."³
And very many other instances.

Ἀνιδιτὶ καὶ Ἀνιδρωτί· χωρὶς ἱδρῶτος. οὐ γὰρ ἀνιδρωτὶ καὶ ἀπεριμερίμνως τάδε παρεστήσαντο τὰ πολίσματα. καὶ αὖθις· ἀνιδρωτὶ πρὸς τὸ ἄριστον οὐκ ἤρχοντο οἱ τοῦ Κύρου στρατιῶται, διὰ τὸ ἡδέως ἐσθίειν καὶ ὑγιαίνειν. καὶ ἄλλα πλεῖστα.
