Greek original · Adler’s text

Notes

  1. cf. epsilon 671 (and epsilon 1422 for the gloss).
The spelling a)/rkos, already at alpha 3954, is a later variant of a)/rktos (alpha 3961): LSJ entry at web address 1.
Note the paragraphing above: the lemma-phrase (from Babrius 14.1) and the first part of the gloss (from Procopius, Secret History 1.17) do not belong together; they have been copied as a unit from epsilon 671.
