- Polybius 16.38 (web address 1). Valesius (Henri de Valois 1603-1676) attributed this entry to Polybius; placing it here in the Polybian corpus seems most plausible (Walbank, p. 545) and associates it with Philip's Asia Minor campaign in 200 BCE, during the Second Macedonian War (200-197 BCE; cf. Errington, pp. 244-289).
With the headword adverb cf. generally epsilon 3551, epsilon 3552, epsilon 3553, epsilon 3554, epsilon 2555, epsilon 3556. - 1Philip V of Macedon; cf. phi 355 and OCD(4) p.1129, s.v. Philip(3). ↩
