Notes (2)
- 1Present middle/passive participle of
i(store/w (cf. iota 697), feminine nominative plural; presumably extracted from the quotation given. ↩ - 2George of Pisidia, On the Persian Expedition 3.46-7 Tartaglia, on the tendency of the Persian general Shahrbaraz (cf. PLRE IIIb s.v.) to hold his troops in formation for prolonged periods. The noun to which the participle relates is parataxeis. On Shahrbaraz, see also pi 282 note and tau 1055 note. ↩
