Notes
- Same entry in Timaeus' Platonic Lexicon and in Photius pi665 Theodoridis.
The headword -- imperfect ofperie/pw (pi 1119), third person plural -- is evidently quoted from somewhere. A strong possibility (Ruhnken, Theodoridis) is Herodotus 7.181.3, an episode about the Persians dealing with the crew of a captured Aeginetan trireme: most of them they treated as slaves (periei=pon w(s a)ndra/poda ), though the brave marine Pytheas got preferential treatment (perie/pontes eu)= ).
