Notes (2)

  1. = (minus the syntactical point) Synagoge; Photius pi273, with other references there.
The primary headword is aorist active infinitive of paramuqe/w; the secondary one is its aorist middle infinitive. In LSJ the middle voice of this verb is regarded as the norm.
  2. 1Compare (besides the other lexica) the scholia to Homer, Iliad 15.45, where paramuqhsai/mhn is glossed with sumbouleu/saimi. ↩
  3. 2If this middle infinitive is quoted from somewhere, the likeliest source is Homer, Iliad 9.684. ↩
