Notes (2)

  1. 1= Synagoge, Photius pi231 Theodoridis. The headword is future middle, third person singular, of paraire/w. It must be extracted from somewhere; there are extant possibilities in e.g. Diodorus Siculus (5.70.1, 18.25.3) and Cyril of Alexandria. ↩
  2. 2An abridgement of Thucydides 4.48.3, in reference to the end of the civil strife on Corcyra. The quotation contains not the headword but a related noun. The parenthetical gloss 'things removed' is not attested in the extant commentary on Thucydides and may be the Suda's own, tying the quotation in with the headword and gloss derived from lexicographical sources. ↩
