Betacode
*parquhnh/: po/lis.
Notes
- Same entry, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon. 'Parthyene' is not otherwise attested as a city, however; it was an entire region, on the present-day Iran/Turkmenistan border (Barrington Atlas map 97).
The satrapy of Parthia, from which the Parni [sic] (who later occupied it) acquired the name Parthian.
