Translation

[Meaning] it has happened rather profitably. "To the Romans this was as useful as it could possibly be."1
Also [sc. attested is] sunh/negke.2

Greek original · Adler’s text

Συνήνεγκε· λυσιτελέστερον γέγονε. συνήνεγκε δὲ τοῦτο Ῥωμαίοις ἐς ὅτι μάλιστα. καὶ Συνήνεγκε.

Notes (2)

  1. The headword (third person singular) supplies an aorist for sumfe/rw.
  2. 1Quotation unidentifiable in this precise form, though C. Theodoridis in his Photius edition (vol.II p.XCI) suggests that it might be a loose version of Polybius 3.68.3: o(\ dh\ kai\ sfo/dra sunh/negke toi=s *(rwmai/ois. ↩
  3. 2Adler prints here a repetition of the headword, which can hardly be right. Ms G, she reports, has suneish/negke (for which see already the gloss at sigma 1543). ↩
