Translation

[Meaning that which] can be hidden under no cloud. Sophocles [writes]: "you have brought up this pain of mine not to be veiled, never to be destroyed, never to be forgotten." Meaning not being destroyed, unable to find forgetfulness.¹

Ἀνέφελον· ὑπὸ μηδεμιᾶς νεφέλης κρυβῆναι δυνάμενον. Σοφοκλῆς· ἀνέφελον ἐπέβαλες οὔποτε καταλύσιμον, οὐδέποτε λησόμενον ἡμέτερον οἷον ἔφυ κακόν. ἀντὶ τοῦ οὐ καταλυόμενον, λήθης τυχεῖν μὴ δυνάμενον.
