Notes (1)
- From Aristophanes, Knights 859 (web address 1), with comments from the scholia; spoken by Demos himself in reference to Kleon (kappa 1731); cf. sigma 1304.
cf. Hesychius kappa4233; Photius, Lexicon kappa1118 Theodoridis. - 1This quasi-repetition of the participle from the previous sentence (but now future rather than present) is apparently a mistake for what is found in the scholia:
e)/sti de\ para\ krousimetrei=n ('it is from "knocking off the measurement"'). ↩
