Notes

  1. The entry -- a marginal addition in ms A -- in fact stems from the use of the two words together to mean 'we here, those of us who are present', e.g. at Homer, Odyssey 1.76 (with scholia and Eustathius ad loc.; see Chantraine, Grammaire homérique 2.168 §251); Plato, Sophist 234E; LXX Genesis 15.50, Numbers 14.40.
See Origen, in Jeremiam 5.2.21, 32, 65, 3.9, for the phrase in professions of faith.
