Notes (2)
- 1The headword is dative plural of
pe/talon (cf. pi 1386, pi 1394). Same glossing in Photius and other lexica, and in a scholion on Homer, Iliad 2.312 (where it occurs). ↩ - 2Greek Anthology 6.282.1-2 (Theodorus); again at pi 1596. On this epigram, a young man's dedication to Hermes upon completion of ephebic (cf. epsilon 3890) training, see Gow and Page, vol. I (196), vol. II (551-552), and further excerpts at pi 1361 and sigma 1719. ↩
