Translation
"There has been canvassing in connection with this trial".1 And Aeschines more or less created the same sense in the [speech] Against Ktesiphon: "men of Athens, you see what preparation and mustering of forces there has been, and what begging of favors in the agora certain people have resorted to."2 Dinarchus in the report[-speech] Against Polyeuktos [writes]: "and all the private canvassing and begging of favors there has been."3

Παραγγελία· παραγγελία περὶ τουτονὶ τὸν ἀγῶνα γέγονε. καὶ Αἰσχίνης δὲ τρόπον τινὰ τῇ αὐτῇ διανοίᾳ ἐχρήσατο ἐν τῷ κατὰ Κτησιφῶντος· τὴν μὲν παρασκευὴν ὁρᾶτε, ὦ ἄνδρες Ἀθηναῖοι, καὶ παράταξιν ὅση γεγένηται, καὶ τὰς κατὰ τὴν ἀγορὰν δεήσεις, αἷς κέχρηνταί τινες.
