Translation
['Weights' and 'measures'] are used differently in speech. [sc. The former] are the things put on the pans of a scale.
Greek original · Adler’s text
Στάθμια καὶ σταθμά· διχῶς λέγονται. εἰσὶ δὲ τὰ ἐμβαλλόμενα ταῖς πλάστιγξι τοῦ ζυγοῦ.

Notes
- The point of the entry is obscured in English translation; the headword phrase consists of two words that differ only by a single iota in Greek. Adler cites a scholion to Gregory of Nazianzus (61 Piccolomini). Contrast Pollux 4.173, who seems to equate the two terms.
