Notes (2)

  1. The headword, presumably extracted from the quotation given, is the masculine/feminine genitive singular of the two-ending adjective thlope/ths, -es; see generally LSJ s.v.
  2. 1The glossing participle is the present middle/passive, feminine genitive singular, of the verb pe/tomai, I fly; see generally LSJ s.v. (No equivalent entry in other lexica.) ↩
  3. 2Greek Anthology 6.239.3-4 (attributed to Apollonides): the offerings of an old apiarist (Gow and Page, vol I, pp. 128-9) with the uncommon name Kleitôn; cf. Gow and Page, vol. II, pp. 149-50. Find the Suda's further extracts from this epigram at theta 6, theta 269, and sigma 734. ↩
