Notes (5)
- cf. lambda 647 and lambda 650.
- 1The verb
logi/zomai normally has middle forms, not active as in the headword here; the Attic future islogiou=mai . See LSJ entry at web address 1. ↩ - 2Again under lambda 650. Quoted from somewhere; there are several possibilities in Christian writers. ↩
- 3Quoted from Aristophanes, Frogs 1263; see the scholia there. ↩
- 4The present tense
logw= could be fromloga/w orloge/w : the former is attested in Lucian's Lexiphanes, one or the other in a fragment of Tyrtaeus (see LSJ entry at web address 2). ↩ - 5A variant reading for Epistle to the Romans 4.3, using the aorist middle of
logi/zomai with a passive sense (the accepted reading is aorist passivee)logi/sqh ). ↩
